Online insurance company NTUC Income has launched Singapore's first hourly travel insurance, which allows consumers to receive hourly travel protection. The new product, called FlexiTravel Hourly Insurance, has been designed as a flexible and affordable option for short or spontaneous trips to nearby Binton, Batam and Malaysia, which are popular weekend destinations in the region.

“Traditional travel insurance policies typically include full-day payment, including airfare, which is not required for short-haul sea or land travelers. As a result, they can maximize their affordability and save with insurance services tailored to the needs of these travelers,” said Annie Chua, NTUC Income vice president of personal lines, general manager.

In addition to providing COVID-19 benefits for accidents, medical and medical expenses, NTUC New Income offers unique benefits for joint operations in Bintan, Batam and Malaysia. This includes the refund of unused entertainment tickets purchased to protect the golfer, including golf equipment stolen from a locked car and the subsequent rental of new equipment.

FlexiTravel hourly insurance available through the My Income app և costs a minimum of SGD 1.80 for six hours of protection. Customers can increase their coverage by $0.30 for each additional hour, up to a maximum of $3 per day.
