A Traveling Content Creators Adventure Guide To Cape Town, South Africa

Adventurous Kate S Offbeat Guide To Cape Town Adventurous Kate

If there is one place with adventurous, incredible scenery, epic food and personal experience, it is Cape Town, South Africa. Known for its beautiful scenery, where the mountains meet the sea almost everywhere in the city, this city deserves a place on everyone's list. Anyway, at least I didn't go down without explaining myself first.

As a New York-based content creator, Morgan has had the opportunity to visit many parts of the world. "Traveling has always been a part of my life, it has always felt normal," Morgan told UPROXX. “I am very fortunate that my success in the modeling business has given me the opportunity to travel and have unforgettable experiences around the world. Travel is "my concern, my inspiration".

Social networks have given her the opportunity to document her travels, involuntarily inspire others, to travel, to travel outside of her hometown. "It's about waking up and getting messages from people around the world that they are inspired by your travels and looking forward to your posts," he said.

Morgan says Cape Town is different on all his travels. Its natural beauty and boundless adventure still haunt it today.

To find out what to do, eat, see and feel at South African hotspots, we asked Morgan to provide us with a complete guide to Cape Town. Read her top tips: Tips for an unforgettable trip.

The first thing that struck me was the physical beauty of Cape Town in South Africa in general. The city is located in the mountains, covered with beaches and wherever you look, the scene is epic. Definitely a "street" address. This is not a place where you can spend all your time in museums or cafes, especially if you are surrounded by such beauty of nature.

What should everyone who comes to Cape Town for the first time see or do?

The first thing you see as you exit Cape Town Airport is Table Mountain, which has a lion's head above the city. Cape Town is a hiker's paradise where more hiking trails than you know what to do. You can't go to Cape Town on a lion's head. It’s a moderate campaign, the cut scenes are crazy. This will take you about two hours. Table Mountain is a longer and harder hike and can be a bit harder to navigate, but it's pretty epic when you get to the top. "Most people like to go by cable car." Either way, it's worth it if you get the perfect picture of Cape Town's sea in the background.

What is your favorite food in Cape Town?

Cape Town has a great cooking scene for international influences. One of the best weekend experiences was a visit to the old biscuit factory in Woodstock. It is an open-air food festival with stunning food stalls and even a cocktail bar. There are also live DJs. This is something that ends at 4:00 pm, but you must see it. It is the fastest $ 5 Uber in many places in Cape Town.

In South Africa, there is a traditional dish called brigi, which we call BBQ. It is usually made with a variety of meat and side dishes, but in South Africa you must try the kudu steak. She is the mother of all steaks.

What is the best nightclub in Cape Town?

After working in nightlife for many years, I now avoid nightclubs like the plague. Also, when I travel, I usually plan an amazing adventure for the next day: I need to get up early to freshen up for the day. There are many bars in Cape Town, the most "touristy" being Campus Bay, right on the beach.

I arrived there very late the first night and the only place to eat was a bar / nightclub called the Harrington CBD area. There was a very nice atmosphere, the drinks were very good, especially after a long flight. I would generally recommend Cape Town and South Africa, a place to go for a night out to find out where to go. I've never had a security problem, but I like to be careful when traveling. Uber is very cheap, so take an Uber on the street and back.

What is the best way to spend time in nature in Cape Town?

You won't see the view in Cape Town. There are many hills here and they are built at different heights so it seems that wherever you look you will see mountains or sea. But if you really want to see the epic scene, rent a car and go on the road. The famous "Garden Route" is known as one of the best roads in the world.

If you want to stay relatively local, visit Chapman's Peak or Simons Town (a place with African penguins). You will be photographed every two seconds. Also, the Western Cape offers a great view of the campsite / cottage. There are even forms of "glaming". I spent two nights in a cottage called Bokrivier Cottage in Greatton. There is an epic hike, a small waterfall, and even a small lake with boogie boards. Then you have to go back to the wood-powered Sanat with hills in the background.

What is the best outdoor activity or adventure in Cape Town?

I've already talked about business, but Cape Town has a lot to offer. Swimming with sharks is not my style (laughs), but I definitely wanted to see animals. About two hours drive from Cape Town, there are plenty of day and night safaris where you can see the big five and experience an unforgettable safari. Some are better than others so be sure to check out TripAdvisor reviews. I went to a guy named INVERDOORN because they had a lot of sales and I read that they have the largest number of animals in the area. We made “Western”, “Eastern” safaris, saw the big five and much more. He even went to some of them. The field and facilities were good and the staff was great. The reserve trip was also amazing, adventurous in itself.

What was your favorite hotel or hotspot?

I used Airbnb during this trip because money is second to none. I found a great place with a pool and security, for that amount you would pay to stay in some European hotels. However, this does not mean that there are no nice hotels here. Perhaps the most impressive is the Silo Hotel. It’s an old factory that has been turned into a hotel, it’s amazing. However, it is a bit expensive. Features a rooftop pool bar with panoramic views. You can also have a drink during sunset, but the pool is for guests only.

I must say that the choice of Airbnbs in Cape Town is quite amazing. To be honest, I was amazed at the quality. There are some really unique places, including many pools or great sea views.

What is the best time of year to visit?

February and March are good times with the end of summer fever, but it's still hot enough to have a good time. Although the weather forecast wasn't too hot, I came back with a deadly tan, even a tan.

Any tips for visiting Cape Town?

Cape Town is a small part of the amazing country of South Africa. It is impossible to see and do everything at once, so it is important to have a plan. Fortunately, staying in Cape Town and the Western Cape allows you to have a good time. Uber is very cheap and reliable. There are many tours that will take you down. I didn’t mention the wineries, but it’s a quick and easy day trip that everyone loves. If you have never shot one before, you should try it.

The roads and highways around Cape Town are in very good condition, making for a great trip. That is, once you get into the habit of driving on the other side of the road. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, choose a itinerary to go to some epic location on the coast, then take Cape Town with you. Also keep in mind that most car rental companies have cars with a manual transmission. We were lucky: we found the machine. So if you are planning a short trip, make sure you have the skills to change this outfit.

The weather in Cape Town can be confusing. You can wake up, look out the window, see a dark sky, but in an hour it will be light. Do not rush to cancel the plan. And the climate on the other side of the hill is different. If it rains in Cape Town, it could be a perfect day at Mussenberg or wineries.

You can hear a lot about crime and security before traveling to South Africa. This worries me a lot, because he draws the whole country with such a wide brush that I feel a little unfair. It was my second time there: I felt safer than in some part of the United States. Obviously, you should use the same common sense that you are looking for. Don't target yourself. Great to have a nice dinner on Campus Bay, but I wouldn't go with my expensive Louis Vuitton jacket like in Chicago or some part of LA.

It can be a busy flight from many places, but I assure you, Cape Town is worth it. I can’t wait to go back and explore other parts of the country. The scenery, the wildlife and the wild ocean make this place epic. If Cape Town isn't on your list, it should be.
