Vail Community Encouraged To Take Online Survey
Members of the Vail community are invited to take part in a short online survey that is used to prioritize community choices regarding sustainable tourism.
The Weill Steward survey is based on a series of public workshops held during the first phase of the annual planning process in April to create Weill's first Destination Management Plan.
The 20-question survey examines people's perceptions of the role, impact and potential benefits of tourism in Vail in order to get more positive benefits from tourism. This survey is available to Wells residents throughout June.
Preliminary results from the Steward Val survey will be presented at an open roundtable in June with another update to the plan. Classes will be held on Tuesday, June 28 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and will be repeated from noon on June 29 to June 29. There will be two engagement sessions at the Donovan Pavilion and "soft drinks" will be provided. For more information on the economy, see Engagevil.com/stewardship.
The June workshop will be followed by a final series of public meetings on Wednesday 19 October and Thursday 20 October where participants can exchange views on draft policy proposals.
The goal of the Vale Steward is to develop a vision for a 10-year management plan that will continue to achieve Vale's sustainability goals while aligning with local priorities while building Vale's tourism economy. In particular, the city is looking for ways to attract visitors who support it, show respect for the destination, and promote equal access to all Val has to offer.
The plan is supported by a team of consultants representing three leading travel agencies. Good location in Denver; The next factor is MMGY Vancouver; Travel Fund is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to increasing the impact of tourism.
