The way we travel in Europe will be disrupted next year and anyone visiting popular destinations like Spain, France, Greece and Cyprus will have to pay and apply for a 'new visa waiver' online or they will be rejected.

As of May 2023, a total of 32 European destinations will require Britons to obtain an ETIAS visa waiver before travelling. This will cost €7 (currently around £6) for adults and Britons will need to provide details of their passport, nationality, parents, education, work history and drug use.

According to the ETIAS website, due to Brexit, British passport holders are not EU citizens and will need to apply for ETIAS to visit any of the Schengen member states if necessary.
