Dubai Airport has issued a notice warning passengers that Dubai International Airport (DXB) will be extremely busy for the next two weeks due to the summer school holidays and Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
According to the operator, approximately 2.4 million passengers will pass through Dubai International Airport from 24 June to 4 July and the average daily passenger traffic will reach 214 thousand passengers.
July 2 is expected to be the busiest day with daily passenger numbers exceeding 235,000. The same number of passengers is expected to arrive at Eid al-Adha airport on 8 and 9 July.
Dubai Airports works closely with airlines, regulators, business partners and services to provide seamless service to passengers from boarding to the airport, urging operators to follow a few simple tips to avoid the holidays.
1. Passengers should read the latest travel rules of the destination they are heading to and make sure they have all the necessary documents for the required reality before arriving at the airport.
2. For those traveling as a family, children over the age of 12 can use the Smart Gates to speed up the passport control process.
3. If passengers are departing from Terminal 1, it is advisable to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure time. Travelers can use online check-in wherever possible to save time.
4. Departures from Terminal 3 can use a convenient pre-registration and self-registration system in the UAE.
5. Weighing your bags at home, checking documents in advance and preparing for inspections can save you a lot of time at the airport.
6. Passengers are strongly encouraged to use the Dubai Metro at the airport and back. Metro time was extended on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
7. Friends and families of travelers are encouraged to use the airport car park or valet parking service to welcome guests, as access to Terminal 3 is limited to public transport and other authorized vehicles.

DXB performed impressively in the first five months of 2022, despite a reduction in capacity due to the 45-day closure of the north runway due to a rehabilitation project.
In the first quarter of 2022, the number of passengers at the airport reached 13.6 million and forecasts for this year indicate that Dubai International Airport will double annual passenger traffic from 29.1 million passengers in 2021 to 58. 7 million passengers this year.
