Destination Resilience Crucial To Longterm Sustainability: WTTC
The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has published a new report on action guidelines and case studies to make San Juan Puerto Rico’s tourism destinations and investment forums more sustainable and sustainable. The report “Improving resilience to build resilience in destinations” provides a practical and structured view of working with ICFs in terms of their resilience and resilience.
The report outlines five areas to consider for both sustainability and long-term sustainability. It offers four steps for analyzing shock and its impact: understanding risk, preparing for shock, responding to shock, and long-term strategies.
Puerto Rico is one area for case study that highlights a number of environmental crises and economic problems that have neglected its tourism strategy. Key Knowledge emphasizes the importance of small business, identifying risks and implementing initiatives to address potential challenges.
WTTT President and CEO Julia Simpson Coveid said it had a devastating impact by destroying the travel and tourism industry around the world. But this is not the first shock that throws destinations and their citizens into chaos.
“This report will allow tourism destinations to better understand how to better prepare for, implement and plan for future disasters, enhancing their long-term resilience and resilience.
“The plague taught us that you can never be ready. When areas are restructured and restructured, they do not just learn from their own experience and the experience of other countries.
"Puerto Rico is an example of a destination that has learned to be more resilient to Covid-19 and natural disasters."

Finally, the report includes key recommendations for improving their resilience to access pathways.
